Data a la Lata: DataZine – Telling Stories with Data

**What hidden stories are waiting to be uncovered in raw data?** Join us for a creative workshop where we’ll explore how to turn data into visual stories through the art of zine-making. Learn to find, analyze, and design data-driven narratives using physical and digital tools. 🗓 **Date:** Monday, April 28, 2025 📍 **Location:** Casa Datasketch – Calle 71 #10-47 Interior 5 🕒 **Time:** 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

This Monday, April 28, at Data a la Lata, we'll explore zines as an alternative and creative way to communicate data. A zine is a freeform, analog, and direct format that has been key in sharing ideas, struggles, and narratives—both personal and collective. ✂️📰 We’re gathering to turn data about labor rights and work into visual stories that inform, mobilize, and connect. By the end, you’ll have a zine ready to share on May 1st, International Workers' Day. Data is often there, but what’s missing are the stories that give it context and tie it to our lived experiences. We invite you to build that story, to give voice to the data, and make it part of a narrative that inspires. 🕔 Time: 5:30 p.m. 📍 Location: Casa Datasketch This is the last Data a la Lata of April—don’t miss it! 🚨
