Data a lata: Book club about Borges, Big data and me

**Upcoming Discussion: "Borges, Big Data and Me"** Join us for a thought-provoking conversation on Walter Sosa Escudero’s _Borges, Big Data y Yo_, where literature and data science converge. We’ll explore how Borges’ themes—labyrinths, infinity, and randomness—relate to modern concepts in big data, AI, and algorithms. This discussion will offer fresh insights into uncertainty, storytelling, and how literature and technology shape our understanding of reality. Whether you're a Borges fan or a data enthusiast, don’t miss this unique intersection of narrative and numbers! 🗓 **Date:** Monday, April 21, 2025 📍 **Location:** Casa Datasketch – Calle 71 #10-47 Interior 5 🕒 **Time:** 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

📖✨ We invite you to join our interactive reading club, Data a la Lata! In this edition, we’ll be reading and discussing Borges, Big Data and Me, a book by Argentine economist and science communicator Walter Sosa Escudero. Together with Contradatos, we’ll reflect on how stories like Funes the Memorious and On Exactitude in Science are revisited by the author to explore the tension between data, reality, and its representation. Throughout the session, we’ll use various interactive tools to question and discuss—from data science, design, and philosophy—how we construct and understand the reality we live in. 🙌 This is an invitation to read, imagine, and collectively analyze the role data plays in our everyday lives
